University Grants Program Call for Proposals
The University Research Council and the University Grants and Lectureships Committee (UGLC) are pleased to invite applications for the University Grants Program (UGP).
The purpose of the UGP is to support scholarly research and creative activities; assist junior faculty meet qualifications for retention, tenure and promotion; permit faculty to bring advanced projects to completion; and help faculty members develop a research program competitive for extramural funding.
The UGP combines funds allocated from the Provost's Office, the SDSU Research Foundation and the Adams Humanities Endowment. The Division of Research Affairs administers the program. The maximum award is $10,000. Eligible faculty members may submit one application per review cycle. Funds awarded are available for 18 months beginning in January, 2010.
All Unit 3 members are eligible to apply for UGP funding. Please note that while both the college review committee and the UGLC evaluate applications based on merit, final funding decisions include other factors, including the number of prior awards received by the applicant in recent years.
