Announcement - CHHS Faculty Top the Charts for Grants and Contracts

Nine of the top twenty San Diego State University faculty recipients of grants and contracts for fiscal year 2006-2007 are from CHHS; five were from Sciences, three from Education, and two from Arts and Letters. Six of the top ten recipients were from CHHS. The top two (Professors Harbert and Elder) were both from CHHS.

Total grants and contract revenue among the top twenty by college was $20,407,000 for CHHS, $7,929,000 for Sciences, $5,527,000 for Education, and $2,020,000 for A&L.

For total F&A (formerly indirect) the top two (Professors Elder and Hovell) are CHHS faculty, as are four of the top five. In the prior fiscal year CHHS faculty brought in twice as much extramural funding as the next college (Sciences) on an FTEF basis.
