Congratulations to Beverly Wulfeck, Director of the School of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences, for winning the 2008/09 Outstanding Faculty Award!
Beverly Wulfeck is an internationally recognized scholar, educator and researcher in the field of speech, language and hearing sciences. A California native, she spent her entire professional career in San Diego as a scientist, teacher and academic administrator.
Wulfeck leads the Neuropsychology Laboratory and the SDSU/UCSD joint-doctoral program in language and communicative disorders, an internationally recognized and top-ranked program. She became director of the School of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences in 2006. Wulfeck’s scholarly fields include cognitive neuroscience, psycholinguistics and developmental and adult language disorders. She is best known professionally for her research on language development and impairment, much of which has been supported by the National Institutes of Health for over 20 years.
