HHS 350, section 2, in Spring 2010, is a 3-unit, GE course that meets the SDSU Explorations (Social and Behavioral Sciences) and the Cultural Diversity requirements, and includes a 9-day international experience in Alajuela, Costa Rica!
Weekly lectures from SDSU faculty during the semester-long course will include the following topics:
- historical aspects of international health and human services
- economic development and health and social science
- nutrition in a developing country
- globalization, health, and HIV/AIDS

| Cost | $820 fee, pending final approval, plus airfare, in addition to SDSU registration fee for 3 units of credit. Fee excludes items of a personal nature, travel insurance, and some meals.
Apply for the CHHS Dean's International Travel Scholarship. Ten $1,500 scholarships will be awarded to upper division CHHS majors with a minimum GPA of 2.85 who are in good academic standing and who are enrolled full time in Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 (12 units or more). Applications due November 16, 2009!
Apply for the SDSU Associated Students Study Abroad scholarship, accessible from the financial aid page, and request the total cost (including airfare) for your international experience. Applications due Oct. 12, 2009!
