HHS 350, section 1, in Spring 2010, is a 3-unit, GE course that meets the SDSU Explorations (Social and Behavioral Sciences) and the Cultural Diversity requirements, and includes a 9-day international experience south of the border in La Gloria, Mexico*!
Weekly lectures from SDSU faculty during the semester-long course will include the following topics:
- historical aspects of international health and human services
- economic development and health and social science
- nutrition in a developing country
- globalization, health, and HIV/AIDS
During the 9-day field experience portion, participants will be residing in "The Posada" which hosts groups of students in an immersive experience exposing them to the medical, social service, environmental and cultural aspects of this underserved community.

| Cost | $660, pending final approval, in addition to SDSU registration fee for 3 units of credit.
