On behalf of the faculty and staff of the School of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences, welcome to our web site! We hope that you will find it user friendly, chock full of the kinds of information and data you're looking for, and, reflective of the importance of the professions we represent and the commitment we hold to educating the finest students in the nation.
We're markedly proud of our outstanding faculty...a group of dedicated scholars, outstanding teachers, exceptional clinicians. I think that you'll enjoy meeting them, learning of their backgrounds and academic credentials, reading descriptions of their research laboratories, getting a feel for their clinical interests, and gleaning information relative to their teaching areas. Each of us is unique; all of us are terrific.
At SDSU, there are seven colleges. Our school is housed in the College of Health and Human Services. We have a tenure track faculty of 16; four full time and five half time lecturers and clinical supervisors; a number of prestigious individuals holding adjunct status; and several individuals, occupying less than a half-time position, who round out our academic and clinical offerings. Our main campus building is the Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences building; it's not much of a "looker," but it's ours and it's home. The Communications Clinic-Alvarado is our clinical facility, located about a quarter mile away.
Again, welcome and warmest regards,
Beverly Wulfeck, Ph.D. Director, School of SLHS
