SLHS Faculty and Students Receive Research Award
Carol Mackersie, Ph.D., Associate Professor, SLHS received recognition at the International Congress of Audiology held in Hong Kong in June 2008 as the recipient of an award for the "Best Research Poster" at the Congress.
The selection was made by a committee of delegates from around the world.
The research poster entitled "Perceptual segregation of two talkers by
people with hearing loss: Benefit from differences in vocal tract length
and fundamental frequency", was based on work funded by the National
Institutes of Health. Lesli Guthrie, AuD, clinical faculty and Audiology
doctoral students James Dewey and Nicole Conrad were co-authors.
