Social Work JDP Student receives 2019 WPA conference award

Sarah Jane Chavez

Doctoral student Sarah Chavez was selected as the 2019 Western Psychological Association Barbara Tabacknick award recipient. Sarah received this award for having one of the most outstanding student papers presented at the 2019 meeting. The award comes with a $500 scholarship. Sarah is a first year doctoral student in the Interdisciplinary Research in Substance Use JDP program in the School of Social Work. Dr. Mark B. Reed is her mentor.
