Student Travel Funds

CHHS Student Conference Travel Award

Undergraduate and graduate students in CHHS who are the first author of a presentation can apply for conference travel support. For 2021-2022, travel funds can be used for virtual or in-person conferences. If in-person, all travel needs to be in compliance with the travel policy from the Research Foundation. You can download the announcement and application HERE (docx).

Joint Doctoral Program Student Travel Funds

Students may apply for travel funds from either or both universities (San Diego State University and University of California at San Diego). To be eligible for Student Travel funds at either university, students must be presenting a paper or poster at the conference they wish to attend. Each university has different procedures for awarding travel funds. Students can receive one award per year from each university. For students who are presenting at two conferences in one year may consider applying at one university for one conference and the other university for another conference.

Support for student travel varies each year. Students are encouraged to seek more information from Graduate Studies at each university: SDSU and UCSD.
