Diversity & Inclusion
Equity, inclusion, and the pursuit of social justice are at the heart of the College of Health and Human Services ethos. Diverse voices are valued because they provide new perspectives, engender compassionate thinking, drive innovative practices, enhance the academic experience, and make us better stewards of the populations with which we engage.
The College of Health and Human Services is taking concrete steps to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion, both in the workplace and in the classroom. The college conducted a comprehensive review of the current representation of underrepresented groups in the college, as well as the current climate with regard to diversity and equity. In response, it has developed specific, actionable goals as part of our Diversity and Inclusion Plan, to create a more inclusive environment and ensure that our faculty, staff, and students recognize and promote the value of diversity.
The College Diversity Council is composed of staff and/or faculty representatives from each of the schools within the college and oversees the implementation of the College Diversity and Inclusion plan.
