Agency Fair 2025: Connects Social Work Students to Internship and Career Opportunities

Nearly 200 community agencies from across the county partnered with SDSU’s School of Social Work for its highly anticipated Agency Fair held earlier this month.
“The Agency Fair provides a vital opportunity for students to interface with a wide variety of partners offering internships and hands-on experience to social work students,” said Amanda Lee, Director of Field Education in the School of Social Work.
Hundreds of undergraduate and graduate social work students explored available internships, asked questions, networked, and met with representatives for potential career paths and opportunities at this year's event.
Cynthia Monroy, a first-year graduate student pursuing her MSW, found the event invaluable.
“I attended the Agency Fair to explore internships for my final year in the MSW program,” she said. “I am passionate about becoming a school social worker, so I spoke with representatives from various school districts and narrowed my focus to SD Unified and the SD County Office of Education.”
Several other universities partnered with SDSU for the fair, including Cal State San Marcos, Point Loma Nazarene University, and for the first time in years, the University of Southern California.
CHHS and SD County’s Live-Well will host its inaugural Health & Human Services Career Week on March 24-26, 2025.
